For over 27 years, families of the Old City have crossed the road from Masjid‑e‑Asafiya to sit with a hakeem who knows them by name. The founder's students carry his practice forward — the same desk, the same care, the same shifa (healing) through natural, herbal treatment. Unani-e-Tibb has always travelled the same way — from ustad [teacher] to shagird [student], handed down through the generations to the hakeems of the Deccan. Bait Ul Shifa is a living link in that chain.
Our founding hakeem served Purani Haveli for more than a generation. After his passing, the clinic did not close its doors, because a dawakhana (house of medicine) is not one man — it is his teaching. The students he trained sit at his desk today, practising the same classical diagnosis he taught them: the unhurried consultation, the nabz (pulse) read at the wrist, the formulation matched to your mizaj (temperament).

Common questions
Walk-ins are welcome during OPD hours, but a WhatsApp message ahead saves you waiting — especially for regimental therapies like hijama, which are given by appointment.
Often yes — but always tell the hakeem exactly what you are taking. We will never ask you to stop a prescribed medicine on our own; where needed we advise you to consult your doctor alongside.
Yes — sterile, single-use cups and needles only, performed by trained hands after a consultation. Female patients are attended by specialised female doctors, and home visits are available for women.
Purani Haveli: evening OPD from 6:00 PM. Attapur (Sayeeda Siraj): from 6:00 AM. Please call or WhatsApp to confirm the day's timings before coming.
